I was at a safari
watching earth’s creatures
across a vast savanna land
taking pictures of elephants and giraffes
in the lion’s heartland
stranded we became
lost in mother nature’s game
a ferocious wildebeest herd
sprinting closer and closer
for us, there’s nowhere else to run
so I’ll take one last look
at mother nature’s sun
