Blank Slate

naive little girl

beautiful as a pearl

a rare diamond stone

but never thoughts of her own

why, she is a blank slate

others determine her fate

piano lessons at ten o’ clock

ballet at one o’clock

wear your hair like this

wear your dress like this

you mustn’t do that

you mustn’t do this

but then she met a wicked man

who twisted her mind

with a wicked kiss

and together they jumped off

into the devil’s abyss
